singapore is going to add something exciting to its architectural scene.
if you'd click on the link above. it looks like a ship with a carapace on top, mounted onto the ground like an exhibit when viewed from its length (lol). or this exciting dynamic layered stack from the side.
this 54000 square-metre singapore civic & cultural centre building is to house entertainment, lifestyle and retail outlets for the general public. it's also to have a large outdoor canopy for outdoor events, and a whopping 5000+ seater auditorium (that's larger than ucc) for musicals, concerts or any large scale events.
oh, how exciting. and it's to be at one-north (presumably near the one-north mrt station?), near enough to my place.
