YES! i'm starting...

... to exert myself a bit harder when exercising... just a bit, will get somewhere, somehow...

jogged for a while (20 mins?), noticed 2 other guys, probably 16-19 years old, who were jogging as well. one was tanned and muscles were somewhat toned, the other wore specs and has a similar built as mine...

the significance of saying all this? well, both did the chin-up bar (i suppose they're enlisting sometime this year, or are doing their *too early!* preparations for NAPFA) and they could a couple of sets of (at least) 7 reps :'(

am i so. so. dead.

heck, i'll make up for that with getting more tanned! off to the swimming pool i go tomorrow morning! and since it's a monday i don't expect more than 20 people bumming around or in the pool, save for like-minded more-muscular-than-me teenage guys. blah.

and i really do think i'm forming more muscles, on my arms and maybe legs! or maybe i'm imagining things. or maybe the extra masses are simply hard fats.

oh! i forgot! i finally made my specs today! my degree shot up to - 1.75 in the right eye!!! i knew the previous optometrist made a wrong diagnosis hmph.

you know what happened that time? i mentioned, after she did the measurements and tests on my eye (to determine the power) i said, "the images are still a bit blur to me."

AND DO YOU KNOW WHAT SHE SAID?!

"you can't really judge what is blur and not blur, because you don't have a basis for comparison." (something to the same effect)

what the hell? blur equals blur la! if the edges of things look fuzzy then obviously the power is too low for me!? anyway didn't defend myself at the time, thinking since she's the professional then the professional is always right.

lesson to learn: you know what you're feeling best.

oh well, i only paid $5 for the entire package of eye-checkup, which included much more than the usual (they have this nifty hand-held magnifying glass-cum-torch which enables them to see INTO your eye!, plus, some damn irritating machine which spurts air onto your eye *ouch* to measure the pressure of the liquids in your eye *dang forgot the name of it. vitreous humour is it??*) special privilege due to my dad who works in the same, erm, 'company'.

anyway, will not patronise that place again!
